We bought this house in July of 1999. We're hoping to be able to actually afford it very soon.....
This house ,built in 1941, is in the Watts Hospital neighborhood. It has 4 bedrooms and 2 ½ bathrooms, a walk-up attic and a basement (Jeremy’s woodshop) that walks out to the back yard. The screened porch is to the left and the addition on the right is a study with full bathroom. There is a two car detached garage in the back.
The screened porch is accessed through the dining room.
There are archways in the front entry, one to the dining room and one to the living room. As you can see, there is a fireplace in the living room (behind jeremy).
The kitchen has it’s original cabinets and is a nice size, along with a large breakfast area (behind jeremy). we’ll eventually knock a few walls down and put in french doors that will lead from the breakfast area to the screened porch. The kids have already found the best hiding places.
(Emmon's words:) I’m very excited to get my new two wheeler bike and I’m excited of moving and I’m happy to move in. that’s it. and I’m very surprised that I’m going to sleep upstairs! and I’m happy to have my computer in my room. umm….I think that’s it.
We are only the second family to own this house. Our next door neighbor, Faye Weaver, grew up here (pictured are her two older sisters).
The back yard is large with lots of space for gardening and running around.
